A New Year, A Clearer Purpose
The start of a new year always invites reflection—and this one feels especially meaningful for us.
Business has been busy in the best way. Over the past months, we’ve seen a significant increase in house clean outs, and with that growth came an important realization: the way we serve our community is evolving, and our business needs to evolve with it.
Why We’re Rebranding
We’re officially stepping into our next chapter as an ethical estate clear out business.
While long-term consignment has always been part of our foundation, we’ve learned that relying on stand-alone consignment alone no longer supports the reality of running a sustainable business. The timelines are long, the overhead is real, and cash flow matters—especially if we want to continue doing this work with integrity.
By focusing on estate clear outs paired with long-term consignment, we’re creating a model that:
Improves cash flow
Allows us to pay our expenses and team fairly
Keeps us competitive in a changing market
Lets us continue offering thoughtful, ethical solutions during transitional life moments
Most importantly, this shift allows us to stay viable while staying true to our values.
What This Means for Our Clients
This change means we can better support families navigating downsizing, moves, and estate transitions—without rushing the process or sacrificing care. Items that deserve time to find the right home still get that chance through consignment, while the overall project moves forward efficiently and responsibly.
It’s a balance we feel good about.
Strengthening Our Community Connections
As we grow, our commitment to community outreach continues to deepen.
We’re proud to share that we’ve partnered with:
Lorton Community Action Center
Shelter House
Several smaller grassroots organizations, including a mobile library
These partnerships help ensure usable items stay in circulation, resources reach people who need them, and our work extends beyond business alone.
Looking Ahead: Art, Earth Day & Open Doors
Community also means creativity—and we’re excited about what’s coming next.
April 17th: Jenny’s first solo art show opens
April 22nd (Earth Day): An open house for the art show, plus a small Earth Day pop-up featuring local sustainable businesses
Time: 3:00–7:00 PM (possibly extending to 8:00 PM)
We’re envisioning this as a relaxed, welcoming space to gather, connect, and celebrate creativity and sustainability together.
Thank You
Thank you for being part of this journey—whether you’ve worked with us, followed along, donated, partnered, or simply cheered us on. This new direction is about longevity, responsibility, and continuing to show up with intention.
Here’s to a year of thoughtful growth, honest change, and community at the center of it all.
